We have visited this campground numerous times this year as a friend has a seasonal site there and it is close to home so a savings on gas. This is a very large RV resort park but is need in updating of its facilities. The bathrooms are clean but worn. There three pools there, I visited the adult pool which is small and also is in need of repair. Some tiles were falling off the trim. The pool had seen alot of use due to the extremely hot weather but the filters did not seem to be working as the water was cloudy and had a sheen to it from suntan lotions and sunblock. I had made a visit to the park two separate times and the pool still hadn't been cleaned. Security is excellent at the park and there is a security officer that rides around in a golf cart which is really nice. The park is heavily trafficked with golf carts as that seems to be a form of entertainment to the occupants. There are alot of seasonal campers at this park. WiFi was not working when I stayed at the park on three separate occasions. I was told by office staff that the park was updating their WiFi equipment and they expected the service to be available the first week of August 2011. The campstore was well stocked and employees were very helpful and informative. The laundry facilities were kept clean and all equipment worked properly. The sites are basically right on top of each other with no natural foilage break between them so you really lack privacy. For pet owners, there are two large enclosed dog runs for your friend to run and play in. It seems that Deer Run is trying to provide the "high end" RV resort experience with their pricing $50.00 a nite with full hookup and cable TV but after visiting another RV park for the same price, they fall short of their goal. Physical improvements need to be made.
