Always a great snowbird place. Great price, great location, lots of bikeriding, great view. Wish the 30 day move out/move in policy was changed to accommodate snow birds was like the 90 day policy at Campland is my only real complaint.

We visit the resort for two weeks every July, always a wonderful experience. The restrooms/showers are in need of upgrades and have been for several years. The staff as well as the security guards are always polite and helpful - much appreciated. I am a bit troubled that certain dog breeds are restricted from the park - PitBulls - Rottweilers and Dobermans. There were several dogs that were German Shepherds, Bull Dogs, and especially poodles and terriers that barked and showed more aggression than my Doberman does/will - I explained my Dobie was a pup and based just on her breed she was not a welcome guest. I would encourage the person making this decision to do a little research on what breeds are more concerning and bite unprovoked - My pup is very well and professionally obedience and I know (and saw) that most dogs visiting the park were not. Although the experience rating shows I would return, not allowing my pup to come with makes return visits much more costing and difficult. . . there may be a time that I can not return due to this.

Another crazy year at MBRVR. It was packed to capacity. Security staff was nicer and less intrusive this year from previous years. This park could really use some more amenities. They call it a resort, but no pool or spa. There are some game courts and a place for teens to play. There is a snack shack and the food is not bad. It is very kid friendly and there were lots of them there. My only other complaint is the Sodium Halogen Lights in the back of every other space. It is like having the sun outside your bedroom window and they never shut off at night and lit up the bedroom. Even with my dark shades closed I understand the need for security and safety but many other parks do a better job with lighting. Perhaps LED fixtures with a blue hue would not be so bad and more energy efficient too. They seem to be pretty good at enforcing the 10PM quiet time.We have been there 5 years in a row during the 4th with about 6 other camping friends we know. They did seem to shorten the length allowed on many sites along the South fence from 38' to 35 so I had to book another site that they said would accommodate 40' but did not look bigger. When asked they cite fire Marshall required it, but when asking Fire Dept, they said they did not But people still park in front of the rigs with cars in the street so who knows. It looks no different than previous years. Also it seems to be selective enforcement as there are rigs there that are not less than 35 or 38'. Overall it is a clean and quiet place on Mission Bay. Hopefully they will be allowed to stay as the City wants to turn it into Hotels condos etc. I understand that Campland on the bay next door is closing their doors next year.

Nice place to camp for 4th of July with a panoramic view of multiple fireworks displays. Terrific children's decorated bicycle parade. Good opportunity for boating, jet skis and kayaks. Water is too dirty in the bay for swimming so it would be great if there was a swimming pool.Staff is always super nice.
