Making reservations for Riverbend County Park on line was quick and easy making our check-in hassle free. This was our first visit to Riverbend and it exceeded all our expectations. This was our first camping trip with our 4 year old granddaughter. We immediately were delighted that our space was large, very clean, and private. The surrounding cement pad kept debry out of our RV and lush green grass provided a clean play area for our granddaughter. The smooth freshly paved roads made for easy pedaling for big bikes and little bikes with training wheels on their way to the playground. The exceptionally clean showers and bathrooms made it a joy to bathe at the end of each day. The highlight of each day was a swim in the South Santiam River. Individual pools of slow water made perfect spots to teach our granddaughter how to swim. Even though there were many people wanting to swim the numerous water holes kept it from feeling crowded. Anyone camping at Riverbend should bring their rafts and tubes to float the small sections of rapids. Great fun for the young and old. We were so pleased to see multiple hosts and park rangers making the area feel safe and secure. We were told that unruliness was not tolerated in the park and great efforts were made to make it a peaceful campground. We started this trip fearing that our 4 year old would get bored or run out of things to do. No problem there; she fell into bed each night, exhausted from the day's many activities. We even thought we might drive the 25 minutes to Walmart in nearby town of Lebanon, for some entertainment. That never happened as our days were absolutely full. We have been camping for over 40 years and this park is by far the best Family Campground we've ever found. We would highly recommend it.

Great Place to Look for Rocks

We love to come to this campground because it is far enough away from town yet close enough if you forget something. We also like to swim and look for rocks there. The showers are always clean and the park is a great place to go with our family.
