***Loved it for 3rd year in a row***

This was our 3rd year in the rustic cabins. We look forward to going each year. The rustic cabins are an excellent value for a family. The beds are comfortable and you just need to take your bedding. There is room in the cabin at the table if it's raining. The only thing they could use is a railing on the upper bunk bed. This cabin makes a vacation affordable.

Terrific 5 Days @ Shipshewana
0 % of users found this review helpful
We had made advance reservations for 2 days at the RV park while on a 3 month trip. When we arrived, expecting a "parking lot" type of facility, we were so pleased with what we found that we immediately also paid for a 3rd day, and then ended up staying for 5 days. The park itself is small, however the sites are all separated by trees (and shade), well maintained and cared for beautifully. The office staff was exceptionally friendly as well as helpful to us. There is so much to do and see in this area of Northern Indiana (DO NOT MISS the Buffalo Ranch where you can actually feed the Bison from your hand!) that we could have stayed even more days, however we had to get on to meet up with friends in MI. While on our trip we stayed at some absolutely georgeous State Park campgrounds in GA, SC, NC, PA & OH. And even some relatively OK privately owned parks - as well as some of the "parking lot" types. Shipshewana Campground North compares favorably with many of the state park campgrounds and is well above any private park that we have stayed at. YES, we WILL go back the next time we are in the area.

Having stayed here for the last to year in July we really enjoyed this campground and there service. Always freindly and helpful and has a quiet atmosphere. Wifi worked great so I could keep up with my work schedule on line while away fron home.Ice cream shop on site also another plus. We will definitly return as we enjoy the flea market and all the shops in the area. This is just a wonderful area to visit and this is one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed in. If your in the area I would highly recommend it.

It is a very nice RV park. I am a very experienced camper. I grew up camping. First off sorry kids but it does not have a park to play in and you cannot have a fire that touches the ground. They have a community fire pit. We had to go to a walmart and get a patio fire pit. So we could cook. We camped in a pop up camper. Again it was a very nice RV PARK. The plus is it was bout a quarter of a mile from the famous flea market, which is help on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Sorry but I will not be returning. No fire or park was a big downer.

We have returned 4 times to stay in the cabins to attend the Shipshewana Flea Market. Peaceful cabins set in the trees. Well maintained campgrounds. Nice breakfast for those who stay in the cabins. We will definitely be back several times this year.

We stayed with our 2 young children in one of the camping cabins. It was perfect! They loved the bunk beds. We loved the fact that the entire campground was very clean! Down side is that they have no playground or swimming pool. However, with the wide open field area, we were able to create lots of fun for the kids. Just bring along outdoor toys and game props. Will visit again!

Nice Quiet Place

We stayed for three nights in Sept. 2010 and were very pleased with the campground. We arrived after the office was closed but they had our registration and campground map waiting for us near the door. The place was quiet, clean, and well maintained. We selected this park based on the proximity to Shipshewana, and would definetly stay there again. The WIFI also worked.
