Family Friendly Fun

We've stayed at Timber Ridge on 2 different camping excursions and were very pleased with all they had to offer. When we arrived the first time, we were worried because of where it was located...we thought we would be disappointed. Not the case, we found the campground & campsites large enough to spread out. We enjoyed riding our bikes around and the pool was decent. The most fun was watching the enclosed dodge ball arena games. We have 2 boys and the loved it! When the dodge ball bell rang...kids from everywhere went running! Other activities we did included an ice cream social, outdoor family movie on a large screen, bike obstacle course, putt-putt (needs some renovation) and we enjoyed the peaceful setting and watching the black tree squirrels (don't have those in Ohio). The lodge had a small store and a couple of game machines but we liked how they focused on OUTDOOR activities instead of huge game rooms. The staff was nice and accommodating to our requests. It was only a 15 minute drive into town. They have lots of trails that you could walk or bike...we never did. We would definitely go back and would recommend this campground to other RVers. Good times in Michigan!

Love the rental cottages
100 % of users found this review helpful
This facility is awesome! You can stay for days on end and the kids will never run out of things to do! There is a playground, pool, volleyball, basketball and best of all...a dodgeball court! They show movies at night, they have an arcade, ice cream and bike rentals. They also have a bike course with jumps and other fun obstacles. My kids loved this place and didn't want to leave. If you want to hit the beach, there is a public beach on the bay just a short drive from the campground. We rented a cottage and had 2 adults and 3 kids sleep comfortably. It was really nice to have our own bathroom and kitchen! My only complaint is that the cottage is pricey, but they are always booked so I guess people don't mind paying it!

Awesome park

This was my family's first time camping together, and what a nice experience we had. We rented one of the small cabins, and they wre very nice. It was small, but spacious enough for our belongings. The only really small area was the bathroom, but we made it work. THe campground had scheduled events for kids and adults, so my kids loved going to the various activities. THey loved the dodgeball pit. THere was a small store and snack bar area, so getting needed items or refreshments was easy. My kids rode their bikes all over, and there never was any sdafety concerns. It was a very nice park, and my kids made friends that they stayed in contact with on Facebook. I highly recommend it for any camper enthusiasts.

This is a perfect campground with easy access to mountain bike trails, we always come up for a four day weekend with two days for riding the trails and two days to road bike, one day around Torch Lake and one day around Old Mission Peninsula. The staff is very friendly and more than willing to assist you with your camping needs and they have always been very helpful with suggestions on places to eat shop or sight see in the area. We look forward to our trip each summer because we know that we will have a great time at this campground. If you have kids they will love their stay here because of all the activities that they have to offer for them.
